We have an active and innovative fundraising team to help us augment our funding base. We hold fundraising events for both publicity/outreach, and to raise money for our special needs. Some events we have done include annual Literacy Day celebrations, Bowling with the Easter Bunny, Slo-Pitch Tournaments, Ladies Golf Tournaments, DenMar Farms Family Day, Spelling Bees, raffles, garage sales, book sales and hockey games. You are welcome to join this exciting team!

Gateway operates a gently used bookstore, we call Bookmark,  The store is volunteer run, with all proceeds supporting our literacy programs.  We accept donations of books that are in newer condition.  Please NO encyclopedias, magazines, textbooks or Reader’s Digest.  “Bookmark” is located at 488 Dominion Avenue and is open Monday – Friday 10am-4pm, Saturday 10am-4pm.

Gateway has an up to date computer lab with high speed internet.  We offer computer courses to individuals and businesses in the community at reasonable prices.  Again, all proceeds support our literacy programs.

Tag Days – Annual fundraiser with Gateway volunteers, learners, staff and Board members out in the community to raise awareness and collect donations from the public. 

Silent Auctions – Thanks to the generosity of our community businesses and individuals we are able to have silent auctions at most of our events.

Cookie Days – Fundraiser by Maurice’s Valu-Mart. Twice a year purchase a dozen cookies for $3.00 and $1.00 is donated to Gateway in support of our literacy programs.
